Alexandry Costa
Hair stylist
Editorial | Advertising & Films | Bio |
Initiated to hairdressing during the first years by a grandfather, hairdresser at Cinecittà, he left the Côte d'Azur direction Bordeaux and the Dessange house to become a studio hairdresser. He will continue this studio hairdressing activity in Paris, working with some of the great names in the profession. He provides consulting and artistic direction for major international brands and his signature is alongside those of famous photographers in the pages of the most prestigious fashion magazines.
Since 2020, Alexandry is the Digital Artistic Director of Shu Uemura.
But if hairstyling is an art whose language he masters, the artistic fibre of this enthusiast of the Victorian era, Klein blue, the landscapes of Tuscany and Godard's cinema is not limited to the blade of his scissors. During his studies at the Mougins Conservatory, Alexandry is strongly influenced by artists such as Matisse and Cocteau, and Léger. It is through drawing, video and writing that he enriches his creative palette.
