Portfolio | Bio |

Ferdi Sibbel is both an art director and a stylist.

He leaves the Dutch suburbs where he grows up and enters adulthood as a professional basketball player before engaging in modelling. This activity carried on for 14 years gives him the space and time to develop his artistic sensitivity.

After more than a decade between Paris and the United States, Ferdi returns to Holland where he decides to explore the fashion world from new perspectives.

Today, as director of his own studio in Amsterdam, Ferdi's goal, amongst others, is to help young Dutch talent shine.

With a long experience as Artistic Director & consultant in styling and casting, for brands like Ninamounah, which he helped to promote internationally for 6 years.

In his editorials for Vogue, Document Journal, Modern Weekly or for clients such as Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein or Isabel Marant, his work conveys the raw emotions that built him up, between MTV clips, David Byrne's eclectic production, and scene of the Dutch photographer Ed van der Elsken.

Ferdi showcases believable characters and figures whose stories extend beyond the images. Clothes, humor, and textures intersect, as in an everyday life that doesn't pretend to be more important than it is, if not more accurate than it seems.
