Skye Parrott

Skye Parrott is multi-disciplined creative working in photography, film and experience.

She began her career in Paris as managing editor at Self Service, after which she spent several years in Nan Goldin's studio. As studio manager, she worked closely with the artist editing and installing numerous exhibitions, slideshows and books, most notably the installation and catalogue for "Sisters, Saints and Sybils," the exhibition and slideshow "Chasing the Ghost," and the catalogue for the artist’s 2007 Hasselblad Award.

As a photographer and film director, Skye has collaborated with a broad range of clients, from editorial publications to brands for commercial advertising. Her personal photography work, which draws on traditions of reportage and classical portraiture, has been widely exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the U.S. and Europe, and published in several exhibition catalogues. She has collaborated on photography projects with the artist Robert Longo, and has curated and organized photography exhibitions. The most notable, "Younger Than I'll Be" at The Brooklyn Academy of Music, looked at the experience and freedoms of youth in New York City.

After returning home to New York, Skye co-founded Dossier, a biannual arts and fashion journal. As publisher and creative director, she had the privilege of collaborating with numerous artists and photographers over the course of the magazine's twelve issues to edit and curate their work, including working with photographer David Armstrong on the first edit for his book "Night and Day", originally published as a portfolio in the debut issue of Dossier.

As an extension of her work on Dossier, Skye began to take on creative consulting projects. She has curated experiential projects and publications for Etsy and Vans, as well as produced an online experience for the launch of Aesop in North America. More recently, that work has brought opportunities to collaborate with independent and global brands on visual communications, content, and realizing special projects, both visual and experiential.

In 2015, Skye founded Double or Nothing, a multimedia content platform, continuing her exploration of creating unique, innovative content in both the editorial and commercial space.
