Originally from Japan, Satoko Watanabe is a Make Up Artist who has collaborated with many magazines.
Following a training in a beauty school, Satoko has been able to perfect her art by starting to work in the film industry for special effects in make-up and body. Following this adventure, she began her career in NYC before settling in Paris.
Fascinated by fashion from an early age, she spent a lot of time looking at photo books and fashion magazines. She has been influenced, in particular, by the mix of Haute Couture and Street Wear, as well as the sub-cultures that stand out for the way they are dressed.
Her main sources of inspiration are her friends, musicians, painters, and artists, designers who gave her the chance to use her creative energy as a means of expression.
She uses colour throughout her work, creating her unique approach of make-up, while retaining a simplicity that never quite creates a facade, but rather illustrates the subject. Experimentation is at the forefront of her style.
